Vakaata etenemistä ja hyviä onnistumisia

Managing director Mikko Heikkinen iterates news of the company from the last year with satisfaction. He thinks the firm has progressed steadily both economically and operationally. He wants to emphasise some events. The first of them is the completion of the new Järvenpää social and health centre JUST.

UKI Arkkitehdit is currently working on several other big hospital projects. In Oulu, the firm is part of a consortium called the Tierna group, which is designing the new children’s and women’s university hospital. The design of the new buildings for the Tampere university hospital is continuing at the same time.

Heikkinen is also satisfied with the recent success of the firm in many competitions related to land use.

In late winter, UKI Arkkitehdit acquired architectural firm Arknova Oy from Helsinki. Managing director Heikkinen describes sentiments after two months of cooperation as ”quite comfortable”.  The deal was motivated by the wish of UKI Arkkitehdit to increase its operation also in the metropolitan area.

New partners to UKI Arkkitehdit

UKI Arkkitehdit Oy expands its partner base. All six new partners are architects working in the company: Raija-Liisa Miesmaa, Pauli Koivisto, Kimmo Turpeenniemi, Teuvo Tuorila, Ulla Passoja and Timo Tyynismaa.

Mikko Heikkinen remains the main owner of the firm. Additionally, Kimmo Mansisto and Pentti Komulainen, architects of the firm, have been partners already earlier.

According to Mikko Heikkinen, expanding the partner base aims foremost at ensuring the success and development of the firm also in future.

”With the partnership, we want to commit our key persons to UKI Arkkitehdit more firmly. It’s important for us that our key persons are closely involved in building the common future of the firm. On the other hand, the partnership also indicates that they in turn rely on UKI Arkkitehdit”, he comments.

Heikkinen also believes that the internal commitment and trust of the firm are positively reflected in the customers, too.
