VALO™ – User-driven design method
Clients are the focus in the operation of UKI Arkkitehdit. Recognising client needs and utilising our experience in developing design methods has changed our operational modes to meet the changed requirements of our clients. The user-driven VALO™ design method has emerged from the needs of our clients.
The user-driven VALO™ design method helps design a better environment, city and services. The method saves costs significantly both during construction and over the life cycle of the buildings without sacrificing the aesthetic or constructional quality of the projects.
The user-driven VALO™ design method has been developed persistently. It is based on user-driven design and employs interactive virtual modelling. The background of the user-driven VALO™ design method is in latest knowledge of learning and profound understanding of group psychology. With the method, we can get information from the future users of the premises and use it to design maximally functional premises for the future.
The user-driven VALO™ design method has already been used successfully in the design of several projects. Seinäjoki hospital, TAYS D, L, N, and E as well as the new social and health care centre in Järvenpää are examples of big public buildings implemented with the Valo method.
