Y-talo, Seinäjoki
The Y-talo of real estate company Seinäjoki was completed in 2012 in conjunction with the Seinäjoki Central Hospital. Y-talo is a real estate company owned by the South Ostrobothnia health care district and Seinäjoki town, and its gross floor area is ca. 34,500 m2. The new building is the most extensive building project in the hospital area in decades.
Y-talo includes the premises of Seinäjoki health care centre and Seinäjoki Central Hospital. One of the most important functions of Y-talo is the joint emergency centre of basic health care and special health care. It provides high-quality emergency first-aid services for the inhabitants of the health care district.
Apart from the emergency centre, the building houses several wards, policlinics and research units, sample collection and imaging premises, dialysis treatment premises, physiotherapy and occupational therapy premises with a pool section as well as autopsy and chapel premises.
