Rovaniemi Airport: expansion of the departures lobby

The extension to Rovaniemi Airport opened in October 2025, just in time for the winter season. The exterior architecture of the extension is characterised by illuminated pine eaves, which impart a warm touch to the overall appearance of the airport. The dominant feature of the departure hall is a large glass wall that opens in three directions, which creates an open and welcoming atmosphere. The new large and open departure hall is connected to the existing terminal’s check-in hall. It is connected by large passageways. The extension provides plenty of additional waiting and queuing space, thereby improving the customer experience, especially for departing passengers.
