After the wars, Uki Heikkinen moved to Oulu with his family. He took a teaching job at the Technical School of Oulu, where he worked as lecturer of house construction. He continued designing in addition to his teaching job. The range of his design work was wide: from utility articles to general plans.
Laying the foundation of success
It was a favourable time, because the period of reconstruction offered plenty of new opportunities in construction. Uki Heikkinen created good connections to the industry by carrying out his design projects to the letter.
